Danhostel Sønderborg-Vollerup is in the greenpart Sønderborg East

- a few minutes’ drive from the new highway 8 and the center of Sønderborg city.
You can walk from the Hostel to the woods,  see, the mountain bike track, Gendarme Path. (74 km along the Flensborg Fjord) Tennis court and Riding center.

We have 4 Castle nearby ( 20 minutes by car or bus): Nordborg, Augustenborg. (castle and art) Sønderborg ( museum) and Gråsten (royal garden).

Day trip 20 minutes ( car or bus): History Centre Dybbøl Banke. Step directly into Denmark’s history regarding the war between the Danes and the Prussians in 1864. Here you can read more about events we offer in the History Centre.
 Do not miss the Dybbøl Meal and a 20-minute drive in either direction you reach Danfoss Universe – the large science park where children and adults can have fun and learn at the same time.

Take a nice walk in Sønderborg city with all the shops, along the harbor and cafes.

Danhostel Sønderborg-Vollerup,  several cozy houses with 40 rooms - mostly with private bath and toilet.

Also 10 holiday cottages. The Cottages have 2 x 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bath, toilet, and lounge. Front porch with furniture.
You can buy food in the family café 'Abildgaarden' or can grill or cook yourself in the communal kitchen.

The small houses are placed in a 5 acres big garden with cozy courtyards and plenty of activities for the children. The playground with a trampoline, climbing, mini golf and cuddle with rabbits, goats, and nose bear in one of the gardens.

Just a great place for kids.

 School camp have a sport yard with minigolf, mobilius, table tennis and fireplace. There is also a quiet garden with birds and other small animals.
